Chane Ka Pulao



 "Ingredients"


The following is a list of ingredients in English:


Adha kilo Chawal          (Half kilogram Rice)

Adha pao Piaz               (Half a onion)

Ek pao Chana                 (One cup Chickpeas)

Adha chatank Adrak       (Half inch Ginger)

Ek pao Ghee                    (One cup Ghee)

Teen adad Bari Elaichi       (Three cardamoms)

8 Adad Siyah Mirch          (8 Black peppers)

Ek tukra Daar Cheena       (One piece Cinnamon)

6 Adad Leung                  (6 Cloves)

Namak (Salt)to taste.



Synthesis:

To make a recipe in Urdu, mix together chickpeas and soak for at least 8 hours. In a pan, heat oil and chop onions, add to pan and cook until golden brown. Add thin slices of ginger, cook until the color turns brown, and then add chopped tomatoes. When the mixture is well cooked, add the chickpeas and mix well. When the chickpeas start to boil, add salt and cook until the liquid reduces. Finally, garnish with coriander and serve hot. Enjoy!


To make safaid chane ka pulao, follow these steps:


Soak the chickpeas overnight.

Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon sticks, cloves, salt, black pepper, cardamom, ginger, and onions. Cook until the onions are golden brown.

Add the soaked chickpeas to the pan and cook for a few minutes.

Add rice to the pan and mix well.

Add enough water to the pan, cover and cook until the rice is fully cooked and the chickpeas are tender.

Serve hot with raita or chutney of your choice.
